Lab tests

At Blue Lake's Veterinary Clinic, we are well equipped to provide a comprehensive range of in-house diagnostic testing on blood, urine and faecal samples. We also offer a wide range of quick lab tests to aid in the diagnosis of heartworm, infectious feline diseases, pancreatitis and canine parvovirus as well as microbiology and culture and sensitivity for infections.

Cytology (looking at the cells under a microscope) is available for skin testing, lumps and bumps and ear infections to ensure appropriate treatment is initiated in a fast and effective manner.

Preventative healthcare

To ensure the ongoing good health of your pet, we can provide up-to-date vaccinations for your dog, cat, ferret or rabbit, as well as nutritional advice and protection from parasites including fleas and worms. We encourage new bird and reptile health exams and also offer a wide range of services and support for the care of Australian native wildlife.

For older animals, we can offer advice and treatments for ensuring adequate nutrition and brain health, as well as managing arthritis and slowing progression to keep your pet happy and healthy through their twilight years.

Puppy school

Blue Lake Vets offer a puppy school on Monday nights, small class sizes for better one on one with our accredited trainer.  We provide great socialisation and initial training over a 4 week period.  Call the clinic for more info.
