The clinic is new built in 2017, and has state of the art facilities; along with our staff who are constantly updating their knowledge through continuing education, we are able to provide your pet with the most up to date treatments.

The staff at the clinic stock a variety of prescription diets for our clients pets, alongside Advance food for dogs and cats, a super-premium complete food. We also stock a range of supplements for our more exotic friends (rabbits, birds, wildlife and juvenile animals).

The clinic has a fully functioning laboratory so we can get fast diagnoses to you and your pet during consult. We have an Idexx blood suite which can run blood tests for our veterinarians to interpret within 30mins. We are also able to analyse microscope slides and run urinalysis. We work closely with two veterinary pathology labs for more complex and in depth cases.

Here at Blue Lake Vets we have designed our clinic to have a surgical suite equipped with the latest monitoring equipment. During surgery our patients are able to take advantage of blood pressure, oxygen, respiration, temperature, ECG and heart rate monitoring on our Annitek machine and are monitored by our experienced team of nurses.

The clinic has been specifically designed so that your pet can have a comfortable stay with us, whether for a day procedure or a longer period. We have a specific dog and separate cat ward and also an isolation ward for infectious cases. All the rooms have heating and cooling to keep your pet comfortable.

In 2020 the clinic purchased a brand new IM3 dental suite to upgrade from our older system. The clinic offers prophylactic dental treatments, extractions and orthodontic procedures. The new machine has significantly reduced time under anaethesia for our dental patients.

Here at the clinic we are able to work closely with more metropolitan referral clinics should you require. Most recently we have developed a working relationship with a clinic in Warrnambool which offers referral in some cases. Please call and chat to our veterinary nurses on reception if you think you require a referral to a specialist centre.

Breeder Services

The clinic is able to offer a full range of services for our clients who are breeders. We are able to run in house progesterone testing with results in under 10 minutes, artificial insemination, pregnancy ultrasounds and x-rays for hip and elbow scoring.
